Shimano Stradic series
Shimano’s newest line of fishing reels have finally arrived! The Shimano Stradic series was introduced with models that offer excellent performance and durability. All reels offer a superior balance between power and sensitivity. Models feature a unique side bearing system that reduces friction and provides smooth operation, as well as a strong drag mechanism that delivers maximum power and precision.
The drag force increases progressively with increased speed and provides greater resistance than conventional spool designs and helps reduce line slippage. When switching to retrieve, the reel operates smoothly and efficiently thanks to its lightweight aluminum alloy frame structure.
These reels also boast corrosion-resistant stainless steel components and high tensile strength materials to provide long-lasting service. Shimano Stradic reels are designed to handle tough conditions; they’re constructed from titanium oxide painted carbon fiber, resulting in durable and reliable products. The reels are built to withstand extreme water pressure and resist corrosion when exposed to saltwater.
They can even withstand temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C) without freezing. Each model features our exclusive Super Drag Technology (SDT), which enables the user to control the feel of the drag and get that perfect cast while maintaining a consistent level of tension throughout the entire range of motion. Additionally, each reel comes equipped with a premium grade stainless steel spool and rotor.
A unique side bearing design ensures smooth operation and prevents the reel from moving off course. The drag knob is ergonomically positioned just above the hand grip area for enhanced comfort and efficiency. The Shimano Stradic FL 1000 is a great choice for any angler looking for reliability and performance.
Shimano’s FL1000HG Fishing Reel comes in three sizes. The FL10KHG reel offers a 6-pound capacity. The FL20KHG reel offers 8-pound capacity. The largest reel, the FL30KHG offers 10-pound capacity. All sizes feature our exclusive SDT technology.
The Shimano FL1000HG Fishing Line is rated at 1500 test and 2.5lb breaking strain. Our line is the strongest mono leader on the market today! You’ll find nothing comparable to it anywhere else.
All Shimano reels are backed by a 2 year warranty.
Okuma Ceymar c-10 spinning reel
How does the Okuma Ceymar c 10 spinning reels work?
The Okuma Ceymar C-10 spinner reel works just like any other spinner type reel. When the handle is turned counter clockwise (CCW), a spring causes the bail arm to open and release fish line. As the handle is turned further CCW, the bail arm rotates around the rod tip to gather fish line onto the bail.
When the handle is released, the bail arm returns to its original position and grabs the fishline from where it was previously released. If the line is not properly secured to the spool body, it may slip off while the handle is being opened and closed. This could result in lost time trying to retrieve the line.
To ensure proper securement of the line to the reel, use a dedicated locking mechanism on the bail arm. The line should be secured before beginning casting.
What makes this Okuma model unique?
The Okuma’s patented design includes a dual braking system that prevents the bail from rotating back towards the rod tip. This helps improve accuracy by reducing unwanted movement of the fishline while fishing. Another feature is the anti-reverse system that automatically reverses the direction of rotation when the handle is turned in reverse.
This provides added safety and ease of operation since the operator no longer needs to make sure the handle is correctly oriented. In addition, the internal structure of the reel eliminates excess noise and vibration, ensuring a quiet performance during fishing.
What size line do I need to buy?
You can select either 4 or 6 foot leader length depending on the conditions you plan to tackle. A six foot leader offers greater range when casting in comparison to a four foot leader. On the contrary, if you plan to target small fish in shallow water, the four foot leader offers superior control over the distance between the rod and hook point.
Are these Okuma reels good for saltwater applications?
Depending upon the specific application, Saltwater reels are designed specifically for this purpose. These models are commonly used by anglers targeting species such as tuna, marlin, sailfish, mahi mai, etc. Many of them have been designed with extra features such as a built-in drag knob and a high quality stainless steel alloy construction. Because they are intended to be handled often under rough conditions, many of these reels have a durable plastic handle that is resistant to wear and tear.
How much weight capacity do these reels hold?
Most reels from Okuma can accommodate a maximum of approximately 1 pound. However, some reels can hold up to 2 pounds. This amount varies according to the actual design and materials used to construct the reel. Most reels include a built-in drag system. This allows users to adjust the tension by turning the drag knob located at the rear of the reel handle. Simply turn the knob until the desired tension is achieved. This is especially helpful when using heavier weights.

Things to know before buying my first ultra light spinning reel?
The only thing you need to know is that they work. When you buy them, make sure you get the ones that have the right drag system. You want an internal drag system (the old school kind) not an external drag system. An internal drag system means that it has a spring inside it that keeps the line tight, preventing your line from breaking under pressure.
If you don’t have experience with these types of reels then you might want to start out with something a little more basic and inexpensive first. That’s okay though because once you figure out how much line you need to cover with the amount of time you spend fishing you’ll be able to add some additional features later on.
What size spinning reel do I need?
Once again, you want to go with something that works for you. If you’re going to be throwing big lures around, you probably won’t want to use something small. The same goes for baitcasters. But if you’re just going to be using smaller spinners or jigs, then you could probably get away with something smaller than a 10′ spinning reel.
What type of baits should I use with this spinning reel?
If you’ve got lots of money to throw around, you can always upgrade to something fancy. There’s no shame in doing that. There are a bunch of different options. But if you’re looking to buy one simple setup reel, you definitely don’t need anything too extravagant. Just about any bait you throw will work fine.
How hard is it to clean the deck of this spinning reel?
You’ll probably find yourself cleaning your deck less often than you would on a standard spinning reel. That’s because you’ll rarely have any hooks poking out of the side of the reel and you also won’t have any spinner barbs or sinkers hanging off the side either. So unless you’re planning on catching bait-jigging fish, you shouldn’t really have to worry about keeping things clean.
the best ultra light spinning reel
I have been using spinning reels for years now and I am always looking for something different. I have tried many types of reels over the years and I have finally settled on my favorite. I wanted to share my findings with you guys and hopefully help you find the right spinning reel for you.
The first thing I did was look at what kind of fishing I do. I fish mainly for trout and bass, but I also enjoy fly fishing. I want to make sure I get a reel that works well for both types of fishing. I also wanted to make sure I had enough capacity to handle big fish. I don’t think any reel would work if it couldn’t handle a monster fish.
After doing some research, I came across the Shimano Spinning Reel X-Line Series. These reels were designed specifically for fly fishing and they offer great features for the price. They are built to last and they are extremely durable. They are also constructed out of carbon fiber, which makes them lightweight. They are also equipped with a stainless steel spool, which is corrosion resistant and won’t rust.
Shimano’s X-line series offers five models ranging from 5 to 20 pounds. Each model comes with a drag system that is adjustable between 2 and 6 ounces. There are also two sizes of line capacities; 10 and 15 yards. The reel is compatible with fluorocarbon, mono, and braided line.
I chose the 12 pound model because it offered me everything I was looking for in a reel. It is lightweight, durable, and has a good amount of capacity. I also love that it is fully adjustable and has a nice drag system.
If you are looking for a quality spinning reel that will last you for years to come, then I highly recommend the Shimano X-Line Series.
